Twitchell Dam Sediment Removal

RPS is serving as Project Manager for the Santa Maria Water Conservation District to manage the District’s Sediment Removal Project at Twitchell Dam. Due to historic fires and resulting flooding, the dam is impacted by substantial sediment buildup in the spillway and downstream channel which will impact future releases and could pose potential threats to Santa Maria and Guadalupe.

Riverbench Winery

The Santa Barbara County Zoning Administrator approved the development of a Tier II winery located along the Wine Trail on Foxen Canyon Road. The changes included the conversion of an existing 2,400 square foot single family dwelling into a winery support structure which includes a 330 square foot wine tasting room, four offices, an employee break room, restrooms, and a retail sales area.

Presquille Winery

The project applicant, Arc Vineyards, LLC, proposed site is on 193 acres east of Orcutt in the East Santa Maria Valley wine country an cconsists of the development of 70,000 square feet (sf) winery development currently under onstruction and will be the home of the Presquille Winery Estate Label.

C2 Cellars

C2 Cellars, located at the intersection of Highway 135 and San Antonio Creek Road is a Tier III winery that was approved by the County Planning Commission. RPS processed a conversion of an existing 19,050 square foot agricultural cooler into a Tier One winery to allow for immediate operation then proceeded with the application for a development plan for a Tier III winery to increase wine production to over 50,000 cases a year.
